We’re thrilled to announce that Emily Orell recently joined our firm as a Senior Designer in our Keene, NH, office. Emily and her family eagerly anticipate the arrival of their first child, a daughter, in mid-November, so we are indeed rapidly expanding our growing team here at Michael Petrovick Architects!
Emily has over six years of experience working on various industrial, educational, multi-family residential, commercial, affordable housing, and municipal projects in several New England states. As a Senior Designer, she is responsible for managing and producing projects of varying size, scope, and complexity. Emily shares that she has “a passion for accessible design” and is “excited to gain experience in single-family residential projects.”
Like other colleagues here at MPA, Emily is a former student of Mike Petrovick and earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Keene State College, with a minor in German language and literature. She immensely enjoyed the opportunity to study abroad for one semester in Berlin, immersing herself in an architecture program focusing on learning about future city design and sustainability. Emily is currently studying and preparing for the architect registration exams.
Outside the realm of architecture, Emily enjoys various crafts (including knitting, sewing, macramé, and embroidery), baking, taking scenic drives to explore new spots—inevitably including stops at local coffee shops, and spending time with her husband and two cats (and planning to welcome her baby this fall).
