Dillant-Hopkins Airport Terminal Feasibility Study
Keene, New Hampshire
Michael Petrovick Architects is leading a feasibility study to reimagine the Keene Airport Terminal, exploring how the City’s 1960s-era facility can evolve to meet contemporary aviation needs while strengthening its role as a regional transportation gateway.
The study examines opportunities to enhance the passenger experience through improved accessibility, reorganized public spaces, and strategic architectural interventions, including mass timber and cross-laminated timber (CLT) construction. Concepts under consideration include new terminal canopies, expanded daylighting through clerestory glazing, and flexible spaces that better support corporate, charter, and private aviation operations.
In addition to aviation-related improvements, the study is evaluating the terminal’s potential to accommodate future regional transportation connections, positioning the airport as an important component of southwestern New Hampshire’s transportation network.
