From Roof to Reception: Keene Recreation Center Upgrades Underway!

Our work at the Brian A. Mattson Recreation Center in Keene, NH, is well underway with two projects to upgrade to facility. The first phase, the successful replacement of the gymnasium roof, is complete—a significant improvement to the building.

In late winter 2025, construction kicked off on the second phase: a stunning rehabilitation of the center lobby and window replacement throughout the building. This transformation aims to create a user-friendly space that enhances the overall experience for community members.

The updated lobby will feature a designated reception area and modern amenities, making it the welcoming heart of the recreation center. We’re incorporating beautiful materials native to New Hampshire that will reflect the local charm while delivering an updated, transparent aesthetic that invites everyone in. Plus, the replacement of the original 1981 windows will not only boost energy efficiency—significantly cutting heating and cooling costs—but also enhance occupant comfort, making every visit to the center a more enjoyable one.

We can’t wait to see these improvements take shape and bring our vision for a modern and vibrant community hub to life. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this exciting journey!
