The Salvation Army of Nashua has operated in Nashua, New Hampshire, since 1981. The campus comprises four existing buildings: the main building (formerly a Lutheran Church constructed in 1958), which includes worship space, administrative offices, and a food pantry; two residences; and a community building with a kitchen used for programs and events.
The Salvation Army and Michael Petrovick Architects have partnered to complete a Feasibility Study to reimagine the Nashua campus with two new buildings designed to address inclusivity, accessibility, and environmental sustainability. The proposed plan aims to better accommodate the current and future needs of the corps and to organize the site by separating administrative offices and the food pantry from the primary building, where worship, programs, and events would be hosted. The spatial programming also includes a gymnasium to support events and adult and youth programs, including after-school programs, summer camps, and community outreach events.
